Technology has changed how we enjoy our music today. Thanks to the internet, we are able to stream music without buying physical copies of singles and albums, making it more reliable. What’s even better is that streaming gives the user total control over the kind of music to be played.
With easy access of the internet, streaming has never been this popular. One question we need to ask is which streaming platforms offer the best experience? Let’s find out.
Note: We are only talking about the platforms that are available in African countries. With that said, Spotify is excluded from the list for not meeting the criteria.
5. Songa Music
- Sound Quality: Unknown
- Subscription: $4.99 (including some unique daily subscriptions)
- Availability: Kenya
Launched by Safaricom in February 2018, the service offers users the freedom to listen to over 2.5 million songs from local, regional and international artists. While it’s the cheaper option in this list, it has several issues.
One, it’s only available to Kenyans, more specifically Safaricom users. Second, you are getting a limited library as compared to other platforms which have free versions (this one doesn’t). Third, it is only available on android smartphones with the iOS app coming soon.
