The Citizen TV news anchor married his longtime girlfriend, Ivy Waitherero, in a star-studded ceremony held at Deliverance Church, Langata just last week. Their reception was held at the lush Nairobi Academy grounds. Gituku and Waitherero’s momentous occasion was witnessed by among others Joe Ageyo, Waihiga Mwaura, Mac Otani and Mumbi Warui. Waitherero works as a news director at the station.

The K24 News Anchor, Betty Mutei Kyallo got married to her ex-husband Dennis Okari in October 2015. The two met while Dennis worked at the Standard Media Group as a reporter while she was just an intern. The two dated for about six years and have a daughter together. Citizen TV’s Day Break presenter Waihiga Mwaura met his wife Joyce Omondi while they both worked for the S.K Macharia owned Citizen TV. Waihiga worked as a Sports news anchor while Joyce worked as Sunday morning Gospel show ‘Rauka’ host. She later quit the station and went abroad for studies, before returning. They got married in an invites only wedding in Naivasha, in 2016. Joyce currently works as a presenter at Switch TV.
